Stems + leaves

better hay.

Leaves dry quickly. Stems take longer. The Crusher works on the part of the plant that holds onto moisture.

  1. Crush the whole stem.

Full-length conditioning, nodes included, opens the stem along its length.

  2. Run full contact.

The top roll rests on the bottom roll with the lobes meshed, so no stem slips through a gap.

  3. Keep the machine you know.

New rolls or recovering for your header. B&D can help you choose.

Only complaint is that I didn’t go with The Crusher rollers years ago. My hay dries faster and is softer now.
